Ahhh... the Corn Palace.
A monument to what bored people in the mid-western plains can come up with,
a palace made of corn. A palace that gets a new facelift every year.

We got so excited about
seeing buffalo near Hill City, but we didn't know what we were in for!
Driving thru Custer
State Park in South Dakota, we ran across these animals which I believe
are Mufflin.
A better picture of
the mufflin.
Then! We're driving
a very short distance and around another corner... what's standing there
in front of a motel? A buffalo! We got out and took some pix of him.
He was just a lone wolf!
Just a short distance down the road...
... there was a whole
herd coming down a hill!
There were so many of
them! I bet there was a couple or three hundred of the beauties.
This was the last buffalo
that I got a picture of that evening (I ran out of film), he was the biggest
one I had seen.

Here is a tunnel that
I had to go thru on Needles Highway
in Custer State Park.

A beautiful creek in
Spearfish Canyon (near Hill City and Custer State Park).
A cabin that over looks
the creek.
